Analysis on all things Dawgs!

Scouting report: Mizzou

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

After suffering their first loss, UGA takes on Missouri for Homecoming.

#1: High Octane offense: Drew Lock, who finished 2nd in passing in the SEC, and J'Mon Moore, who finished 2nd in receiving in the SEC are returning. Damarea Crockett is a sophomore who rushed for over 1,000 yds last year. Their best players are back and their offense should be one of the best in the conference.

#2. Horrible Defense: The only bright spot in their defense is former highly touted recruit Terry Beckner Jr. lived up to his billing in his sophomore year and is coming back for his big Jr. year. The secondary is a joke so Eason has a chance to crack 400 yards in this game.

Prediction: UGA 37 Mizzou 28

Scouting report: Vandy

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

After Tennessee, UGA will stay in the volunteer state to take on Vandy. Vandy has the potential the UGA's toughest opponent all season.

#1. All offense is returning: RB Ralph Webb, who was top 5 in the SEC in rushing will come back along with QB Kyle Shurmur who will be a JR. Shurmur's 3 top passing targets: Trent Sherfield, C.J. Duncan, and Caleb Scott will all return as well.

#2: Most defense is returning: Only 3 of Vanderbilt's players on defense, who were 2nd in the SEC in rushing and 5th in passing are leaving with everyone coming back, Eason will really have to have a big game which conveniently he had his best game against Vandy this past year, throwing for 346 yards and a TD.

Prediction: UGA 17 Vandy 20

Scouting report: Tennessee

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Tennessee is rebounding because they are losing all of their star players. UGA should have an easy win. But here is a scouting report

#1: Freshman QB: Jarrett Guarantano is a dual threat QB which is now becoming a theme for UGA opponents. He was a 4 star in the 2016 ESPN 300. He should be the star of the offense now that Dobbs, Kamara, Malone, and Hurd are gone.

#2: Defense is just as good: While most of their stars are gone, the Vols are restocking with Jr's and Sr's all over the field. The only weak spot is in the secondary with Emmanuel Mosely as the only definite CB.

Prediction: UGA 31 Tenn 17
